What actually brought me to CrossFit was Matt! It’s crazy but we reconnected thru CrossFit. He told me he was a coach at a CrossFit and that I should try out a class and I did with my sister and never looked back at a regular gym again. It was scary and different. I wasn’t sure if it was for me because I felt awkward doing a lot of the movements at first but little by little got more confident.
I never thought I would love something so much as I do now. I got better at doing the movements and pushing myself to be a better person for myself mentally and physically and also now for Xander (little man) he makes me want to be better even if he doesn’t know it yet.
I have had many proud moments since joining Bear Mountain CrossFit, probably my first open and getting a 120 power clean I never thought I could ever lift that much weight off the ground. Also, my first toes to bar, even if I can just do one makes me so happy or double unders!
I’m currently trying to string along my double unders, haha, but I also just enjoy my one hour of me time.
Being a mom now, its not just about me anymore but at the same time, if I’m not healthy physically and mentally how am I going to take care of my little boy. I love that CrossFit can do that. It makes you just enjoy a workout and give you so much energy afterwards (.. well for me personally). If you feel great it just makes everything around you so much greater!
